New ways to set and utilize rates

DrivingRange-400wideNow available within GolfNow Central (GNC) Marketing and the GolfNow Booking Engine 4.0, the Player Rules feature lets you create restrictions and segments for different customers at your business. By doing so, you will be able to display only certain tee times and/or rates sets to those specific golfers based on the rules that you create. With player rules enabled on your booking engine, you will no longer need multiple booking engines to segment your inventory; instead you can utilize one engine for everything.

For more information on creating player rules that best fit your business, visit our detailed how-to document on the GolfNow Business website.

And for any help with setting up or getting started with player rules, or for other questions, contact our GolfNow Cares team at 844-800-GOLF.

Justin Rose’s priceless moments

Olympic medalist Justin Rose surprises some GolfNow golfers in the latest Masterpass commercial series.

Olympic medalist Justin Rose surprises some GolfNow golfers in the latest Masterpass commercial series.

In the spirit of Mastercard’s “Priceless” golf moments, the partnership between GolfNow and Mastercard was recently reinforced in a fun way with the help of Mastercard Ambassador Justin Rose … and some unsuspecting GolfNow golfers!

Our production crew traveled to New York Country Club in New Hempstead, N.Y., to create a new television campaign to remind golfers that they can pay with Masterpass for any round of golf booked on GolfNow, anytime. Rose, 2013 U.S. Open Champion and Olympic gold medalist, was on hand to surprise golfers on the first tee, politely asking the shocked groups if he could join them. Their expressions were – as they say – “priceless.” You can check out the commercial, which is currently airing on Golf Channel, here.

Growing golf with more ways to pay

Customers love to have options, and golfers are no different. From playing multiple courses to relying on a range of wedges in their bag, there is no such thing as too many choices. And giving golfers another choice when booking their tee times is an easy way to keep them coming back time and again.

MasterCard-Partnership-728x90-v2Offering those options is one of the main reasons for our three-year partnership with Masterpass, one of the easiest and best digital wallet solutions available. Thanks to this arrangement, golfers now have one more fast, simple way to speed through the booking process, either on GolfNow.com or within the mobile app. With more ways to pay, your regular customers and new players can book their rounds any way that is convenient for them, and they’ll be more likely to play more golf.

New metrics for Golf Advisor

Golf Advisor has become an integral tool that helps course operators stay aware of customer satisfaction in the form of ratings and reviews. With the growth of Golf Advisor over the last several years, more and more golfers—from new players to veterans of the sport—are using the site to share their thoughts and find the best places to play.

In order to ensure that Golf Advisor provides the most accurate and useful ratings and reviews for your business, we are implementing a new logic to ensure that the ratings better reflect your efforts, improvements and more.

While many sites aggregate all reviews and produce a simple rating from that number, this “all-time” average does not take important factors into account. For example, a recent upgrade or management change that has improved your course might be reflected in the most recent reviews, but the hundreds of older reviews would outweigh those high ratings.

GA-ReviewSystemBy shifting to a “Golf Advisor Rating Index,” recent reviews will have more importance and a higher value than older ones, which will better reflect your continued efforts to provide golfers with a truly memorable playing experience.

Our new index gives golf course operators like you more credit for your efforts, as well as ratings that genuinely reflect the work you do every day. And it creates more opportunities for new golfers to help your course climb the rankings and be discovered by players from around the world.

Contact your GolfNow representative for more information about how this recent shift will recognize your efforts and help your ratings climb.
