Creating custom views of Customers

Available to:  Admins, Reservationists

With Customize View in the Customers tab, you can create, save, and export filters of your customer list for marketing and analytics purposes. This is a great way to organize your Customer if you only want to see, contact, or report on certain groups of your Customer.

For example, if you want to find Customer who have a series on file and had a blowout in the last year, save a customized view to market to those Customer.

How a customized view changes the page

The Customers that display

Only Customers who meet the selected criteria will display in the customer results list.

The information in the list

The default customer list will always display basic data from a customer profile: First Name, Last Name, Street Address, State, City, Postal Code, Email, and Primary Phone.

With Customize View, you can add columns such as Preferred Staff, Membership ID, and Total Retail Sales so you can do your own sorting and reporting after exporting.

Create a customized view

Filters tab

Define the how the custom view will narrow down Customers by selecting filters based on customer history and other data. To select filters:

  1. Click Customize View on the top right corner of the Manage Customers page.

Use the drop-down menus to select filters. The filters you select will determine which Customers display in the custom view.

Columns tab

Each item you select in the Columns tab will be a sortable column in the custom view. Selecting new items changes the information that appears in each list.

To select columns in the Customize View page:

  1. Click on the Columns tab.
  2. Select the items you want as columns in the custom view.
  3. Use the left menu to find more items to add.

Save / apply / create custom report

Once all filters and columns are selected:

  1. Enter a name for the view in the Save View As field in the Columns tab.
  2. Optional: Check List as Report to save the view as a report. If selected, the view will appear at the bottom of the Reports list.
  3. Take an action:
Action Result
Reset Return to the original customer list. Does not save.
Apply Apply the filters and columns to generate the view. Does not save.
Save & Close Saves the view and closes the list.

 

Access a customized view

After creating a custom view, you can return to it at any time and export it to a CSV file. To access a custom view:

  1. Go the Manage Customers page.
  2. Select the desired view from the Viewing drop-down menu on the top-left corner.
