Creating customized views of orders

With Customize View in the Orders tab, you can create, save, and export filters of your orders list. This is a great way to organize your orders if you want to quickly find certain types of orders, such those with deposits, refunds, or specials applied. For example, if you frequently check for deposits taken for the day, save a customized view to only see those orders.

How a customized view changes the page

The orders that display

Only orders that meet criteria selected will display in the orders results list.

The information in the list

The default orders list will always display basic data from a customer profile: Order Date, Order Number, Status, Customer Name, Order Items, Tax, Tips, Total Price, Payment Method, and Actions. With Customized View, you can add columns such as Total Products, Total Discounts, Created By, and more.

Create a customized view

Filters tab

Define the how the custom view will narrow down customers by selecting filters based on order type and other data. To select filters:

  1. Click Customize View on the top right corner of the Manage Orders page.
  2. Use the drop-down menus on the Filters tab to select filters. The filters you select will determine which appointments display in the customized view.

Columns tab

Each item you select in the Columns tab will be a sortable column in the customized view. Selecting new items changes the information that appears in each list. To select columns:

  1. Click on the Columns tab.
  2. Select the items you want as columns in the custom view.
  3. Use the left menu to find more items to add.

Save / apply / create custom report

Once all filters and columns are selected:

  1. Enter a name for the view in the Save View As field in the Columns tab.
  2. Optional: Check List as Report to save the view as a report. If selected, the view will appear at the bottom of the Reports list.
  3. Take an action:
    Action Result
    Reset Return to the original orders list. Does not save.
    Apply Apply the filters and columns to generate the view. Does not save.
    Save & Close Saves the view and closes the list.

Access a customized view

After creating a custom view, you can return to it at any time and export it to a .CSV file. To access a custom view:

  1. Go the Orders tab then Manage Orders.
  2. Select the desired view from the Viewing drop-down menu on the top left corner.

Delete a customized view

  1. Go to the Orders tab then Manage Orders.
  2. Select the view from the Viewing drop-down menu on the top left corner.
  3. Click the Customize View link to the right.
  4. Click Delete this View
