CT-S300 – Ethernet – XP/Vista

Configuring the printer on the network

NOTE: This procedure will only need to be done on one computer.

  1. Run CSAMultiConfig1.1.exe (found in the link at the beginning of this installation guide).

  2. Click Scan.
  3. Select the detected printer.
  4. Click Configure.
  5. Change the static IP to the desired IP address. Make sure that DHCP is not checked.
  6. Take note of the Port number listed on this screen.
  7. Change the device name to ‘Kitchen’
  8. Click OK

  9. Wait a few seconds until the word scanning disappears, then click Exit

Printer Installation – Windows Vista

  1. Go to Start > Control Panel > Printers.
  2. Click Add a printer.
  3. Click Add a local printer.
  4. Select Create a new port.
  5. Choose Standard TCP/IP Port.
  6. Next.
  7. Choose TCP/IP Device under Device Type.
  8. Under Hostname or IP Address, type the IP you entered in Step 5 of the Configuring Port section above.
  9. Under Port name, type ‘Kitchen’.
  10. Uncheck Query the printer and automatically select the driver to use if it is checked.
  11. Click Next.
  12. Windows will try to detect the port, and say that the device could not be found.
  13. Select Custom under Device Type.
  14. Click Settings.
  15. Make sure the Port Number field matches the port number you documented above.
  16. Click OK.
  17. Click Next.
  18. Click Have Disk.
  19. Browse to the ‘CBM2008’ or ‘CTS300x64’ folder > CBM folder that was extracted earlier.
  20. Select CTS300.inf and click Open.
  21. Click OK.
  22. Choose CITIZEN CT-S300 in the list.
  23. Click Next.
  24. Type ‘Kitchen’ for the printer name.
  25. Specify whether you would like to share the printer.
  26. Click Print a Test Page to verify that it prints properly.
  27. Click Finish.
  28. Proceed to the section Define Printer in GolfNow Reservations.

Printer Installation – Windows XP

  1. Go to Start > Control Panel > Printers and Faxes.
  2. Click Add a Printer.
  3. Click Next.
  4. Select Local Printer (uncheck automatically detect).
  5. Click Next.
  6. Select Create a new port.
  7. Under type of port, select Standard TCP/IP Port.
  8. Click Next.
  9. Click Next to the Welcome screen.
  10. Type the IP Address you specified in the Port Configuration section above in the Printer Name or IP Address field.
  11. Type ‘Kitchen’ in the Port Name field.
  12. Click Next.
  13. Select Custom in the Device Type section.
  14. Click Settings.
  15. Make sure the Port Number is the same as in the Port Configuration section above.
  16. Click OK.
  17. Click Finish.
  18. Click Have disk.
  19. Click Browse.
  20. Browse to the ‘CBM2008’ or ‘CTS300x64’ folder > CBM folder that was extracted earlier.
  21. Click Open.
  22. Click OK on the Install From Disk window.
  23. Select Citizen CT-S300 in the list of printers.
  24. Click Next.
  25. Type ‘Kitchen’ in the Printer Name field.
  26. Select No to not use this printer as the default printer.
  27. Click Next.
  28. Specify whether you would like to share this printer.
  29. Click Next.
  30. Select Yes to print a test page.
  31. Click Finish.
  32. Click Continue Anyway on the Windows Logo Testing warning message.
  33. Click OK when the test page has printed.
  34. Proceed to the section Define Printer in GolfNow Reservations.

Define Printer in GolfNow Reservations

  1. Setup | Hardware
  2. Click Printers
  3. Click Kitchen Tab
  4. Click CT-S300 under Installed Printers
  5. Select Font as Standard
  6. Select Size as Standard
  7. Click OK

Troubleshooting

Issue: When printing a test page, the printout is an endless stream of question marks and other unreadable characters.
Resolution: Open the Configuration Utility again, and change the Baud Rate to 9600.
