Hourly employees are being paid for all scheduled hours. What do I do?

To ensure payroll accounts for only clocked hours (and not scheduled hours), go to each hourly employee’s profile in System Settings > Employees

  1. Go to System Settings then Employees.
  2. Find an employee with the Scheduled type in the list.
  3. Click Edit in the Actions column.

  4. Click on the Compensation and Benefits tab.

Hourly employees should already have Flat Hourly checked off as the Pay Type. Next to Flat Hourly, click Only Clocked Hours.

Compensation and benefits

To make sure this works effectively, give each employee a login. Hourly employees must clock in and out consistently.
