How do I restrict when specials can be redeemed?

Specials can be restricted so they can only be redeemed at certain times or if they are booked on certain dates. We call these restrictions dependencies. Here is an overview of the restrictions that are available and how to apply them to your specials.

Specials based on when a reservation is booked

Selecting a booking date range limits the special so it can only be redeemed if the reservation is booked within that range. A booking range is useful if you want to provide an incentive for booking a service at a specific time – such as early, last-minute, or during a “pre-sale.” To set a booking date range for a special:

  1. Create a special for a discount or add-on.
  2. Follow the instructions in Step 2.

Specials based on the date of the reservation

Selecting an applicable date range limits the special so that it can only be redeemed for orders completed within an applicable date range. An applicable date range is useful if you want to provide incentives for reservations/orders during slow or off-peak times. To set an applicable date range:

  1. Create a special for a discount or add-on.
  2. Follow the instructions in Step 3.

Specials restricted to a time of day

Selecting a time of day dependency limits the special so it can only be redeemed at certain times of the day. This is useful if you want to drive business during off-peak times. To set a time of day dependency:

  1. Create a special for a discount or add-on.
  2. Follow the instructions in Step 4.

Specials restricted to the day of the week

Selecting a day of the week dependency limits the special so it can only be redeemed on certain day(s). This is useful if you want to drive business on off-peak days. To set a day of the week dependency:

  1. Create a special for a discount or add-on.
  2. Follow the instructions in Step 5.

Setting maximum redemptions

Maximum redemptions apply to the total amount of times a special can be redeemed by all customers (“limited quantity available”). To limit the number of times a special can be redeemed by all customers:

  1. Create a special for a discount or add-on.
  2. In Step 3, select the Blank field and enter the number of times the special can be redeemed per customer.

Setting if specials can be combined

Specials can be restricted so they cannot be combined with other or some other offers. This is useful if you want to prevent over-discounting. To restrict combinations:

  1. Create a special for a discount or add-on.
  2. Follow the instructions in Step 8.
