Merge Duplicates

If you need to delete a customer profile because you accidentally entered the same customer twice, use the Find Duplicates feature.

How do I merge duplicate Golfer?

Available to:  Admins, Reservationists
Optional Permissions Required:  Reservationist > Merge Duplicate Golfer
System Settings Required:  None

As your business grows, there may be a chance of accumulating duplicate customer profiles with overlapping information. To keep your Customers tab clean and organized, use the Find Duplicates feature to merge/combine duplicate records.

Notes: This action cannot be undone. Fields that are not selected will be permanently deleted. Profiles cannot be merged if both have active credit accounts.

  1. Go to the Customers tab then Find Duplicates.
  2. Enter a name, email, or phone number in the Search Criteria fields to search for duplicates.

Hint: Duplicate profiles are often a result of typos in the customer name, so try searching by email or phone number instead.

  1. Click Search.
  2. Matching duplicate records will appear in a list below.
  3. Use the checkboxes to select the Golfer to be merged.
  4. Select the fields that will be retained in the merged profile. The field that will be retained in the new profile will display in the (Merged Customer) column.

  1. Click Merge at the bottom of the page when all fields to be maintained are selected.

  1. If the merge is successful, you will be taken to an updated customer profile that will contain a Merge Successful! message.
