Sales item filter

Summary

The Sales Item Filter feature allows for certain sales items to be hidden from the list in the shopping cart based on the department they are tagged to. For example, on a golf machine you could filter out any items tagged to the Food & Beverage (F&B) department.

Introduced in 2016, this feature essentially replaces the need to put a leading space in front of items to distinguish between areas, cleaning up the list of items when searching by name or number. If the item has a hot key created, you are still able to sell it on the machine where it is filtered.  As a note, the setup location has changed since implemented in 2016.


1. In GolfNow Reservations, navigate to Setup | Setup POS | Machine. This will take you to the Machine section of the Location Setup screen.

2. Select the Machine you want to apply the filter to, based on the list located on the left hand side.

  • Remember, the Machine Name is assigned in the Options Screen, Setup | Options | POS General.

3. Uncheck the boxes on the right hand side for the departments of items you do not want to appear on that machine.

  • Example: On a golf shop machine, you might uncheck the F&B department so those items are not cluttering up the sales item list.

4. Click OK to save your changes.

  • If the shopping cart was open, close and reopen the cart for the changes to take effect.
  • If filtered items are a Hot Key or Touch Menu button, they WILL NOT appear after this change.
