Using Punch Passes

Your golf course may offer punch passes to its customers. If punch passes are available, you can issue or redeem them from several locations in the POS:

  • From the Quantity and SKU fields in the Quick Items, Items by, or Keypad tab.
  • In the Quick Items tab as a quick item.

The procedures presented in this section use the Quick Items tab as the context. Depending on your system settings, the quick item button for issuing or redeeming punch passes may be labelled differently.

Issuing a Punch Pass

1. In the Quick Items tab, click Punch Passes and then click PunchIssue.
2. The Issue a Punch Pass page appears.

3. In the SKU box, enter the item
4. In the Name box, enter the name of the customer, or click Search for Customer.
5. In the Alt ID box, do one of the following:

  • Enter the appropriate ID of the customer by keystroke.
  • Scan the barcode or magstripe for an ID search.

6. Click Issue.
7. The Punch Pass item is added to the transaction grid.

Redeeming a Punch Pass

1. In the Quick Items tab, click Punch Passes and then click PunchRedeem.
2. The Redeem a Punch Pass page appears.
3. In the SKU box, enter the item SKU.
4. In the Name box, enter the name of the customer.
5. In the Alt ID box, do one of the following:

  • Enter the appropriate ID of the customer by keystroke.
  • Scan the barcode or magstripe for an ID search.

6. Click Redeem.
7. The Punch Pass redemption item is added to the transaction grid.

NOTE: You can only redeem punch passes when the transaction value is $0 or more. You cannot redeem punch passes for transactions with negative values.
