Explain your role at GolfNow?

I am a Senior Plus Specialist within our Business Services Division. My focus is on Revenue Management with our course partners. In this role we focus on helping courses present clean, attractive online inventory that brings golfers to the course using dynamic pricing strategies meant to fill the tee sheet at the highest possible rate. I dig into the granular details about selling golf online on behalf of our golf course owners, operators and professional staffs so they have time to focus on delivering great golf experiences for their customers.

Who is your role model or has had the most influence on your life?

My dad has always had the greatest influence on me. His virtues are many but his humor, work ethic, and respect for others would be most apparent to anyone who knows him. He and my Mom provided my sister and me boundless opportunity. Growing up in Western Pennsylvania, I was also influenced at an early age by our greatest sports heroes; Mario Lemieux and Arnold Palmer. Mario demonstrated perseverance to a degree that could only be matched by Mr. Palmer’s kindness. Both have also left an indelible philanthropic footprint in my hometown.

How do you balance your career and personal life?

I try to be proactive with my work and nail the basics of my role. Doing the simple things well and staying on top of my business allows me to be confident that things are in good shape when I leave the office. Outside of work I pursue experiences, like golfing, surfing, ice hockey, travel and dining out to help me unwind.

What is your favorite program on Golf Channel?

I enjoy all of the instructional programming. Coaching golf is my passion and was my full-time profession before joining GolfNow. I remain active by coaching with The First Tee of Central Florida. Anytime you hear things said in a different way by another coach, it will improve your own ability to help others.

What is your proudest moment?

Becoming a member of the PGA of America was a proud moment.  This was something I set my sights on when I was about 15 years old. There were a number of influential PGA Professionals that helped me develop as a player and a person early on in my life and showed me a way to turn my passion into a career.

What is one of your most favorite movies or books, and why?

Movie: Forrest Gump, it’s the classic “hero’s journey,” several heroes’ journeys if you think about it!  Fiction Book: 1984 by George Orwell. Non-fiction Book:  The Talent Code: Greatness Isn’t Born.  It’s Grown. That one is a must read for coaches, parents, leaders and anyone wanting to get the most out of others or themselves!
