NBC Sports Next and Golf Community Raise More than $3 Million for Youth on Course

NBC Sports Next is a proud partner of Youth on Course, an organization dedicated to helping young athletes experience the joy, challenges, and unique learning opportunities that come from golf. With the generosity of GolfNow bookers and GolfPass Members, we’ve helped to raise more than $3 million through our Round Up campaigns, which have totaled more than 8 million contributions to this great program. The total contribution has represented enough money to subsidize approximately 428,000 golf rounds for Youth on Course members.

Through the Round Up initiative on GolfNow and GolfPass, our dedicated community of golfers has helped to ensure that game of golf is accessible for everyone who wishes to enjoy and pursue it. Golf legend and GolfPass co-founder Rory McIlroy visited the NBC Sports Next offices last week to present the $3 million dollar check to Youth on Course and celebrate with our team. McIlroy has been a long-time supporter of Youth on Course and its mission of growing the game for the next generation of golfers. The continued support from McIlroy and the golf brands of NBC Sports Next contributes to Youth on Course’s mission to provide youth with access to life-changing opportunities on and off the course.

“Our partnership with Youth on Course has truly been a win-win proposition for all parties involved,” said Jerramy Hainline, Senior Vice President, NBC Sports Next. “Not only are we able to give more affordable access to the sport we all love to millions of youth golfers, but we are also rewarding participating golf courses and giving them a pipeline of loyal golfers for generations to come.”

With thousands of rounds booked by Youth on Course members through GolfNow, we’re proud to contribute to affordable access to golf for today’s youth athletes. Helping kids succeed on and off the golf course and giving players from all backgrounds new opportunities is another way we’re growing the game.
